A Talk on Union Budget

Indore Management Association's (IMA) jointly with Indore Chartered Accountants' Society (ICAS), Daly College Business School, Indore with the courtesy of Association of NSE Members of India (ANMI), Indore Chapter & Sahara Samay as an Electronic Media Partner is organizing 'A Talk on Union Budget 2008-09". The distinguished speaker for the same is Mr. Dinesh Vyas. This talk will be held at Dhirubhai Ambani Auditorium, Daly College School, Indore.

Throwing light on the waiver of loans to farmers, he said that this will inculcate a wrong practice amongst the loan seekers and those who pay the loan in time have been punished. Also such a demand of waiver of loan will be raised from the various other strata of the society say from SME's who are feeling the pinch of falling dollar. Shri Vyas feels that the international community will take this step seriously and will put several questions in front of the government.

A Talk on Global Warming

A Talk on ''Global Warming & Climate Change'' is being organized by Mr Glenn Keiser. Global Warming is the observed and projected increases in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans. It is one of the most serious challenges facing us today in the world. The Earth is heating up. The early warning signs of global Climate change are in -- heat waves and warmer weather, spreading disease, earlier spring arrival. To protect the health and economic well being of current and future generations, we must reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases by using the technology, know-how, and practical solutions already at our disposal.

Secrets of Great Entrepreneurs

Indore Management Association in collaboration with Management Marshals & The American Center organized A Talk On "Secrets of Great Entrepreneurs" by Mr. Phillip Holland, Chairman & Ms. Gertrude Holland, Co -Founder of My Own Business, Inc. (MOBI), US. This talk was held on January 17, 2008 at Hotel Fortune Landmark, Indore 

SPEAKER Mr Phillip Holland is Chairman of MOBI began conducting free night course in Compton, California to encourage people to start new businesses. The course was designed to help entrepreneurs avoid the common mistakes many of them make when starting out. 

Ms Gertrude Holland is a co-founder and a trustee of their non-profit entrepreneurial training organization MOBI and is the original designer of their course curriculum on entrepreneurship. She is a former school administrator and currently manages delivery of course material through educational institutions.

Private Equity Fund Raising

Indore Management Association (IMA) in collaboration with YEN Management Consultants Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, an investment banker, organized a presentation on "Private Equity Fund Raising" at Hotel Sayaji, Indore. Mr Sandip Basu & Mr Arun Chandrachud Directors, Yen Consultants, has widely believed that India, which is now the fourth largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity, will overtake Japan and become the World's third major economic power within 10 years.

Mr Chandrachud explained that India's economy is on the fulcrum of an ever-increasing growth curve. It is expected that India will emerge as the third pole in the global economy after the US and China. This has led to India as a leading destination for investments. He expressed that YEN Consultants has been set up exclusively to cater to the aforesaid growth in the economy and service the growing needs of the mid and emerging large corporate companies in India.

Senior managers attended this Presentation in large nos. from corporate. They were found to be very enthusiastic about private equity fund raising process and took active part in the interactive session with speakers.

A talk By Mr. Sharu Rangnekar - "Mystique of India's Economic Resurgence"

Indore Management Association has conducted a talk on "Mystique of India's Economic Resurgence" by Mr. Sharu S Rangnekar at Hotel Sarovar Portico yesterday evening. Program started with Mr.Sharu Rangnekar welcome by Mr. Rakesh Jain, Vice President IMA and Mr. Kenneth GM Hotel Sarovar Portico and followed by Introduction by Mr. Santosh Mucchal Honorable Secretary IMA..
In his lecture Dr. Rangnekar has described how In 1997 Speaker after speaker described how we have done badly in the fifty years and they gave a gloomy picture of what is expected to happen in the future but he was always hope full in his views. But his opinion was contrast. In spite of the problems, he said India has some basic advantages and these will get us to increasing economic prosperity.
