not change the direction of the wind, but we can
change the direction of the sail (our attitude),
so that we can take our sailing boat (our life)
to our desired destination”. |
 |
|
He made Participants understand about the
Learning to be a Survivor: Hardiness is clearly
a good thing. It is possible to become hardier:
more committed, in control and open to
challenge, provided we follow three paths. These
techniques are available to help one become
happier, healthier and hardier and they are,
Focusing, Restructuring Stressful situation,
Compensating through Self-Improvement..
Col. Gautam said Commitment, Control and
Challenge are 3 C ingredients of what we call
psychological hardiness. Hardy people should be
able to face changes with confidence and
self-determination and the eagerness of seeing
change as an opportunity. In contrast, a less
hardy person can feel alienated, threatened, or
helpless in the face of any major challenge to
the status quo.
Social support, exercise and strong
constitution can also help. But hardiness or
lack of it can change the way people use these
other resources.
Workshop was very much interactive and
learning for the participants. Each participant
has enjoyed the workshop. At the end of the

contradictory in nature and haven't been aligned
or agreed about yet. |
 |
|
Mr. Sandeep Atre enlightened the issue
Conflict Management is the process of planning
to avoid conflict where possible and organizing
to resolve conflict where it does happen, as
rapidly and smoothly as possible. Important
things to know about "conflict" and "conflict
management":
The differences between "competition" and
"conflict" "Competition" usually brings out the
best in people, as they strive to be top in
their field, whether in sport, community
affairs, politics or work. In fact, fair and
friendly competition often leads to new sporting
achievements, scientific inventions or
outstanding effort in solving a community
problem. When competition becomes unfriendly or
bitter, though, conflict can begin - and this
can bring out the worst in people.
Workshop was very much interactive and
